ILLUSTRATIVE FLOW · Visibility into transportation
The challenge
Transportation operations involve different roles, documents and financial steps. Tracking everything across separate sources makes it hard to see the whole process.
The solution
A platform with role-based journeys that brings together shipments, documents, evidence, costs and payments. An operations frontend and an API organize the management modules and access permissions.
The platform ties shipment tracking to the information needed to run each shipment. Documents and evidence stay in the context of the process, while role-based journeys organize how each person takes part. The frontend and API are parts of the same product, with master data, permissions and management of operational records.
The financial side covers freight, costs, audit and payments, making it possible to design the handoff from operations to financial close. In a new context, the scope needs to define which steps, documents and participants are part of the flow. An engagement can start with one concrete journey, with clear data and responsibilities, before adding other transportation modules.

Use cases
Illustrative scenarios to picture how this work can be applied in a company’s day-to-day operations.
USE CASE 01
Scattered shipment evidence
The scenario
A transportation team tracks shipments in spreadsheets but checks documents and supporting proof in other channels to understand what is still open on each one.
How to apply it
Organize records by shipment and define which evidence must accompany each step, with access based on each person’s role.
What the team gets
An operational view of each shipment with related documents, open items and clear ownership for follow-up.
USE CASE 02
From operations to freight audit
The scenario
Finance needs to understand the costs of a shipment and gather everything that supports the audit before the financial close.
How to apply it
Link freight, documents and evidence to the process, structuring the audit and the record of payment actions.
What the team gets
An audit file with costs, documentation and a history of decisions about the shipment.
